ChIndi trip through Toscana.

A plan which had been pending for a long time. The image in mind was "Me with a big bag on my back asking for lift in the middle of the road" lol... basically hitch hiking. I had to do it this vacation for I would not be able to do it given my travel schedule and my classes.

Finally a Chinese classmate of mine and I decided to travel through what we had heard was a beautiful cities of Tuscany. The initial plan was Day 1: Bologna then to Florence Day 3: Lucca and Day 4: Pisa. As Ke (the Chinese guy) had to return back on the 4th day... I was supposed to be alone on day 4.
We decided to meet up on 5th Jan morning at the station. Having not slept for long the previous night, I did make it to the station on time. Infact, I was there before Ke. I picked up the ticket from the automatic teller machine, but only to realise that the train was cancelled. Aaron and I had to exchange the tickets for another train and also pay extra. Aaron was full of negative energy. He was not happy that the train was cancelled and I knew if he was in such a state he would attract more bad things... Lol... I didn't say anything... but when we watched the display board for the departure train, I was shocked to see that the train was delayed for 30 min. I though I had to break his negative pattern. I told him what he was doing and told him not to utter a single negative word...
We boarded the delayed train. The journey to bologna went pretty quick. Mainly because Aaron and I hardly spoke during our classes so we had loads to talk about.
In Bologna, first thing was to go to the tourist center and then with the free map provided set out towards the tourist spot...
On the way to square were all the watch able things were present. With in few minutes after the trip I knew it was a trip of making loads of snaps...

Stopping for few minutes to have a pizza as it was very cheap only realize that even the size was very cheap... :) We headed for the square only to find all the main attraction to be in one place. We made pictures in front of each of the Statues. One of the statues actually had 4 naked women portraying the 4 rivers know at the time of making the statue. It included Ganges as well. With in few minutes it started to snow. At first very mild and then a bit heavily. We had to run into the church for shelter. It was one of the beautiful churches I had seen. The paintings were awesome and something you can just stand there and watch. I could not help myself but to bow down and pray. After spending an hr in church, Aaron badly wanted to find a rest room. Being Asians we were decent enough to go to a bar order a cup of coffee and then use the toilet.

We decided that as the weather was bad and it was not conducive to climb the tower to view the whole city, to just take a stroll and catch the train to Florence. The walk through the university was greater. To be in the university which has a historic value, in itself was great feeling. I was hoping to see a lot of young crowd however as it was vacation; only few people were seen wondering around.

We took the train to Florence at around 3 and reached around 4(I guess). On reaching there Aaron realised that he had got the wrong phone number of the hostel, which forced us to buy the map of the city. Luckily, he had seen the hostel on Goggle maps; he was able to spot the location.

The Hostel was a new experience to me. I saw only Chinese people in there. Obviously, it was a Chinese hostel. After spending few minutes, I decided that I wanted to walk around the city. Aaron was not happy with the idea as it was raining (His reason) but the actual reason was that he was having fun with all the girls in the hostel. After having dinner, we headed out...

The funning thing about dinner was. I was an Indian, Sitting among the Chinese, as I was having vegetarian food (which was supposed to be Korean). And using Chop sticks which are also used by Japanese.

Walking the pebbled road of Florence, with old building surrounding was a feeling that can not be expressed. By 12 we crashed to bunker beds...
