Start time : 5:00 AM.
Kick started my bull after a small prayer, the engine came to life and I was all set to leave.
About a Km, I guess the bull didn't like the idea of me riding alone just went dead. No matter what I did couldn't get it to life again. The worst thing I had done was, not getting it check up from the mechanic the previous day. Just blunt courage, I guess or over confidence that the bull will survive. "Come on it was just a matter of 300 KM a day.. !!" my inner self had cried, a excuse for being lazy.
The though of getting it repaired and moving on was ruled out. It was good friday and my mechanic would turn up to the workshop and Kaushik was already on his way and was near to Mysore when I started. I only think I could think was .... "Brother..!!!! where are thou??"
My bro had taken the other bike and when I called him he was on his way back home.
Though he insisted, I stay at same place where the bike was spoiled, I though it would be a good excises for pushing the bull to the point where my bro could spot me easily. By the time I could get the bike to aslam bhai workshop I was panting for breath.. Anyway my bro being in better shape could push it back to home and I decide to take the black beauty ( Plusar 180 ) and check how he does..!!
So after having another cup of coffee from my moms hand I was set to smell the cold air.
This time around my dad and bro was full of advise about keeping an eye on the speed, after what had happened with my car incident. By 7 I was on my way to Mysore.
Did a good speed about 70- 110Km and in no time I was in 24 Hr coffee shop. Did Mysore in 2hrs. Koushik was hunting for red bull and I was waiting for him in front of the palace.
After a small chit chat, we both went in search of red bull. the only place we had the possibility of finding it was Nelgiris in ballal circle.
After drenching our throats with Red bull we were on our way to the gods own country. Of course the ride was punctuated with my riding tricks and balancing photography.
Oh by the way.. I was thinking that in the hot sun animals wouldn't come out and hence the probability of finding the animals after gudalpet would be very low. However I was wrong, we saw at least 4 herds of Elephants. 2 groups near the water body and the other, on the move.
so reached sultan battheri by 1 and were need Eddakkal caves by about 2.. we Stopped for lunch and as I was fasting it was only Kaushik who was ravishing the chappathis and the curry..
Later we decided to do what other would not have done. I.e visit Eddakkal caves at the end, instead visit other places like the museum, and the phantom rock. The first option was not so bad one, cos we got to see a lot of old (historic) items , but the phantom rock was real let down.
