Today morning, I came to office , opened the mail box, I see a mail from my collegue that he would be leaving the company. With in couple of hours, I get another good bye mail from one of the senior people here.
I really wonder is it the season for people to change jobs.. ?
One of the possible cause I can think of is that, with the beginning of the financial year and the Salary hike letter being handed down to all the employee , it makes it that much more easy for the person to salary hike in another company. So as to say if you have got 20% sal hike then you are in position to negotiant for say about 40-50% .
On the other hand if you are not expecting a good sal hike then you can still say that you are expecting a 20-25% hike and you would want 40-50% hike. So to say a win- win situation for the employee... :-)
Its not that people don't change jobs in the middle of the year its just that the hopping is more in this ( mar-April) month.. !!
